Journal
With a view to present the views of the policy makers servicing industry and government, current research findings of the institute faculty, academicians and practitioners from other institution, the institute publishes Annual Journal titled ‘Journal of Motilal Rastogi School of Management’. The Journal has generated widespread interest in industry and management schools and has been receiving an increasing number of contributions from researchers and thinkers in the field of professional management in India and abroad. 

Research Activities
With a view to continually enriching the existing body of knowledge in management, the institute faculty undertakes research in their respective areas of specialization.
The Project work done by the students under the guidance of faculty also bring forth rich material based on short research studies on management practices in India. The Institute is also equipped to undertake research assignments sponsored by the Govt. & Industry.

Consultancy Services
In pursuance of its strategies of positioning itself as an institution working in active partnership with industry-education interface for creative management solution, the faculty is encouraged to take up consultancy assignment in various areas of management for Client organization from time to time. In the past institute has been able to render some valuable professional assistance to industry and non-profit organization while simultaneously providing opportunities to the faculty to enrich themselves in terms of insights into the dynamics of work organizations.

Seminars & Conferences
Organizing seminars, conferences and workshops in collaboration with the corporate sector is the regular feature of the institute. During the previous years seminars have been organized in collaboration with TATA INFOTECH, NIIT etc. Seminars have been organized on some burning topics like ‘Privatization of insurance’, ‘Direct Marketing: Constraints and advantages’, Managerial applications of IT, ‘Role of women managers in the new millennium etc. the students as well as the faculty members were enlightened by the viewpoints to industry experts, followed by interface session in which students availed the opportunity to discuss with corporate professionals.   During 2006-07 seminar, Inter-Management Debate Competition RADIANCE were organized. The topic for seminar were “Scope of Different Management Specialization in Corporate sector”, Innovative Management for Professional Managers, “Financial Appraisal System of Investment” For debate the issue was” is Globalization- A Threat or an opportunity.” programme was also organized for students and faculties 

Management Development Proframmes
Recognizing MDP as the kingpin of professional growth of managers and development of organizations, institute has been conducting a variety of MDPs. The thrust of MDP is on updating the knowledge and skills of executive in various areas of management and equipping them with the knowledge, skills and perspective required for the economic scenario of globalization and liberalization. Areas cover under MDP programmes are Nursing home management, restaurants and hotel management, food procession units etc.

National And International Seminars
The biggest achievement of the institute is to organize international seminar in collaborate with management association of Nepal. The visit of Napaleses Ambassador Mr. B.B. Thapa, has really glorified the shimmering, shining ambience of the institute. Besides this international seminar are organized in collaboration with countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, Srilanka. The international seminar on “Trade and Business promotion avenues among SAARC nations” has been a big achievement for the institution, which has enlightened the participants with the view points from foreign delegated of SAARC nations.

Cultural Events/Extra Curricular Activities
The students are encouraged to participate in wide ranging extra curricular activities, which are organized by the institute from time to time. They are also deputed to participate in cultural activities of other institute. Cultural fiesta “Millennium Zephyr-2001” was organized in the post peripherals of the Taj, which was an inter- institutional cultural and literary event. MLRSM organized management fest, Guest lectures, Group discussions, project works, personality development sessions of students with actual work environment, problems and also to promote interaction with practicing professionals.
